Welcome to Kenny Wade Marshall.com

I'm a professional actor, singer, sketch/improv comic, writer and director.  I'm glad you've stopped by.  Feel free to surf a spell and check out some of my work.

Next up I will be singing in the very first CRANKY CABARET March 1st and 2nd 2012 in NYC.  This will be a fantastic night of everything from broadway standards to newly composed music all in the hilarious key of a bad mood.

The Black Box at Joria Studios

260 W. 36th Street, 3rd Floor

$20 dollar admission and open bar!

Door...and Bar...open at 7:45pm both evenings.

Hope to see you there.

Next up I will be directing two ten minute plays for Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company's Page to Stage Festival.  Oly the Doorman by Matthew Hanf and The Law of Passionate Attraction or the Sex Life of the Stars by Andrew Karp.  I am extremely excited to be working with Playhouse Creatures as their productions are always solid and well put together.  There are two evenings of new work that run in repertory and production dates are November 16-20th.  My work can be seen in both offerings.  More info can be found at www.playhousecreatures.org

Happy May and thanks for stopping by.  On May 15 I'll be appearing as Sal in Robin Rice Lichtig's Happiwy Ever After directed by Joan Lipkin at the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe. The show is part of the Fresh Fruit Festival.  It is a comedy about two men trying to find each other but a twist on language as well as a fear of committment come to a pass in this fantastic one act.

Also, I have recently returned to direct and choreograph an all new cast in Isaiah's Dream for New York Artists Unlimited.  Isaiah has given countless children and adults in New York's most underserved and ecomomically depressed neighborhoods the chance to see live and inspiring theatre.  The new tour of Isaiah kicks off June 12th.  If you'd like to catch Isaiah on tour visit www.nyartists.org for more info and upcoming tour dates.

And stay tuned for details on a new musical I'm directing for Manhattan Repertory Theatre's Summer Fest.

AMERICAN BOMBER has been selected by NewFilmakers for their winter series at Anthology Film Archives.  I play Barry Aaron Speiler in the film.  The screening will be Wednesday, January 19th at 6pm.  Anthology Film Archive is located at 32 Second Avenue, New York, NY  10003.  More info can be found at www.newfilmmakers.com.  Congratulations to our director Eric Trenkamp and everyone involved.

More AMERICAN BOMBER updates to follow.

I'll be appearing as Pirelli in Sweeney Todd as part of the APACHE Project at the Gerald W. Lynch Theatre opening December 7th.  I'm excited to be working as a guest artist with Director Dana Tarantino and the New York Arts Program of which I am a proud alumni.   More details to follow.

I also recently finished filming a role in American Bomber by director Eric Trenkamp.  I'll have more information on this project soon!

And check out my photos section for new head shots by the wonderful Manon Halliburton as well as pictures from my recent directing gigs.

Reviews for Guys and Dolls which recently closed at Sierra Rep.

"As Nicely Nicely Johnson, Kenny Wade Marshall is terrific in all the musical numbers. “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” which he performs with the ensemble, is especially notable."

 - Kathy Isaac Luke, Union Democrat

"Kenny Wade Marshall nearly steals the show as Nicely Nicely Johnson, who belts out the gospellike number "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat.""

 - Lisa Millegan, Modesto Bee

"Kenny Wade Marshall is a hoot as Nicely Nicely.  It's during "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat" that Marshall steps up and sings to the rafters.  That number is a showstopper"

 - Mike Taylor, Sierra Lodestar
